Course Description

This workshop is designed for writers who have started a first draft of an essay or a book-length project. Whether you have done a lot of work on your project or are just starting out, this workshop will push you to make meaningful progress by helping you define the scope of your project and identify and address structural, thematic, and writerly concerns. Over the course of the workshop, we will read the opening sections of four memoirs and some shorter works, mostly essays. I’ll also give you some writing prompts to help you think about craft and process. Most importantly, we’ll read and critique each other’s work in a supportive workshop setting.

Thursday nights from 7:00 – 9:00 on Zoom/June 4 – July 23
